Standard wildlife water drinking troughs are 70cm wide and 40cm high.

Ideal for all game such as springbuck, impala, nyala, blesbuck, waterbuck, wildebeest, kudu and eland.

Water troughs are build with strong steel frame, built with 38x38 square tube and 50x25 rectangular tube.

The steel frame is painted with red oxide paint, and then with black industrial paint.
Water troughs for smaller game are 50cm wide and 40cm high.

Ideal for small game such as steenbuck, duiker, springbuck and small herds of impala, nyala etc.

The strong steel frame is built with 32x32 square tube.

Conveyor
Full thickness ply conveyor used in water troughs

We only use full thickness ply conveyor, which is very strong. We do not use splitted conveyor.

We drill 7mm holes through the steel frame and conveyor. The conveyor is bolted to the steel frame with a 7mm bolt, 20mm washer and nut. The bolt and nut are welded together so that it will not come loose.

The inlet float valves or ball valves are protected by a steel frame as in photo, that can be taken off the water trough by removing 2x 10mm bolts.

Included in the price is a plastic low pressure float valve with an inlet pipe of 20mm. See photo top left.

We also offer the option of Sweetwater steel float valves with inlet pipes of 20mm or 25mm, as well as inlet pipes of 32mm or 40mm. Photo top right. See the price list for price difference.

Many farmers would like to use inlet valves that they regularly use. For these farmers we deduct R200 from the price and the farmer buy and install the valves that they would like to use. The farmer must let us know what the inlet pipe diameter is, so that we can drill the correct size hole and build the backplate the correct size. Let us know how long the float valve is, so that we can build the steel cover to protect the float valve.
