Feeding troughs with roofs work well to keep feed dry when it rain, and to prevent feed dry out in the sun.
The feed troughs are build with a strong steel frame, which is built with 32x32 square tube. The corners are cut 45 degrees and welded all around to strengthen the frame and prevent water getting into the steel frame.
The roof and roof legs are built with 32x32 square tube and 25x25 square tube. The metal sheets used on the roof are fully galvanized. The roof can easily be taken off from the feed trough, by removing 8x 10mm bolts.
All the steel is painted with red oxide paint and black industrial paint to protect the steel against the weather.
We use quality full thickness ply conveyor that is 12mm to 20mm thick. It is very strong and will last a lifetime. The conveyor is bolted to the steel frame with 7mm bolts, washers and nuts.
