It is important to regularly dip your sheep and goats against ticks.
The foot dip passages are very popular and work very well to regularly dip sheep and goats. Many farmers let their sheep and goats regularly go through the foot dip before going to the veld.

Available in lengths of 2 meters and 3 meters long.

The foot dip is built with a 2mm thick sheet metal and a 25x25 square tube steel frame. On both sides we weld steel mesh with 3.55mm thick steel and openings of 100mm x 100mm. All steel are painted with 2 coats red oxide and 2 coats black industrial paint.

Inside the foot dip we weld 12mm round bars spaced 300mm apart on the floor, so that the sheep and goats do not slip and have good footing when walking through the passage.

The foot dip passage is 600mm wide and 1100mm high or 1200mm high on request, at no extra cost. The foot dip bath through which the sheep and goats walk is 200mm deep.

We weld 4x strong handles on the outside, making it easy to move the foot dip passage.

On the two end we weld 25x25 square tubes through which a 10mm - 16mm round bar can be placed to join your panels to the foot dip passage. For panels that we build, see below photos and our price list in this website.

Effective control of ticks, foot rot and scald

In areas where ticks and where foot rot and scald are more common, is a foot dip of huge value to the farmer. When the sheep or goats go out in the mornings and come back to the kraal in the afternoon, they walk through the foot dip, or foot dip with dip spray tunnels. It kills the ticks and prevent foot rot or scald to a large degree.

Scald that are often caused by ticks, can largely be prevented with effective tick dip mixtures that is used in the foot dip, or foot dip spray tunnels.

If foot rot is a problem, you can fill the foot dip with 10% zink sulfate or 5% formaleen.

The advantage of the ball valve is that it is easy to let the dip-water out, while you are busy dipping and the trough get full, as well as after you dipped the sheep or goats. Connect a 32mm pipe to the ball valve, and let the dip-water flow where you want to.
